Safety is our utmost priority in transporting students to and from school. As our transportation teams constantly continue to monitor road conditions during this reopening process, we wanted to share with families that for routing buses, a road is considered closed when the bus cannot travel the road and stay in its assigned lane of travel during the route. Piles of debris alongside the roads and washed-out road shoulders are reasons we will not travel on roads. This will temporarily create community stops for a road impacted by the storm. Our team will continue to evaluate road conditions with the goal of returning to the routes we had in place prior to Tropical Storm Helene as improvements are made. As roads become safe for buses to travel, we will adjust and keep you informed as quickly as possible.
