Accelerated Diploma Pathway

Rising ninth grade students, with the support and permission of their families, can choose a 22-credit accelerated pathway for high school graduation in three years.  The pathway option concentrates the core graduation requirements in six semesters and eliminates most all elective course options.  This option may be suitable for students who already know their post-secondary plans and who are willing to forego additional opportunities for career exploration, arts and other enrichment, and advanced academic options.

Students and families should carefully consider the benefits and limitations of this option, with input from the school counselor.  An accelerated learning plan will be developed and reviewed with students and families and signed permission is required prior to the beginning of the 9th grade.
