Weather Closing and Delay Information

Adverse weather conditions or other emergencies may require that schools participate in remote learning, be closed, be delayed, or be dismissed early. Please see the information below regarding the opening and closing of school on alternate schedules.

Delayed School Start

1 Hour Delay - School buses will pick up students one hour later than usual. Car riders may be dropped off one hour later than the usual drop off time.

2 Hour Delay - School opening/bus routes will be delayed for two hours. Car riders may be dropped off two hours later than the usual drop off time.

3 Hour Delay - School opening/bus routes will be delayed for three hours. Car riders may be dropped off three hours later than the usual drop off time.

School breakfast is served on delay days when students arrive at school.

Early Dismissal

1 Hour Early Dismissal - All bus routes operate one hour earlier than the normal time. Car riders may be picked up one hour earlier than the usual pick up time.

2 Hour Early Dismissal - All bus routes operate two hours earlier than the normal time. Car riders may be picked up two hours earlier than the usual pick up time.

School lunch is served on early dismissal days before students are dismissed.

OTWD - Remote Learning/Asynchronous Day

On an Asynchronous Remote Learning Day, Students only need their school device and complete assignments posted by the teacher. Work is posted by 10 am. There are no virtual meetings on these days. Students work at their own pace and have five days to complete assignments and be counted present for the day.

Remote Learning Day/Synchronous Virtual Day

On a Synchronous Remote Learning Day, students need their school device and follow the virtual class schedule. Attendance to each virtual class and completion of work is required to be counted present. Only core classes (math, science, ELA, and social studies) will meet virtually. Disovery teachers will post assignments for students to complete. Students must submit assignments within five days. All grade levels will meet on the schedule listed below. Students will have independent work time between each class. Teachers are available during office hour to provide additional support.

  • Homeroom - 9:45 am - 10:00 am

  • 1st Block - 10:00 am - 10:30 am - Virtual Class Time

  • 2nd Block - 10:40 am - 11:10 am - Virtual Class Time

  • Lunch - 11:25 am - 12:25 pm

  • 3rd Block - 12:30 pm - 1:00 pm

  • 4th Block - 1:15 pm - 1:45 pm

  • Teacher Office Hour - 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
