Congratulations to ACRMS Assistant Principal, Ms. Lindsay Rice! She has been chosen as the 2025 North Carolina Elementary (K-8) Assistant Principal of the Year! “Ms. Rice is well deserving of this honor,” said Ms. Wheless, ACRMS Principal, “This award is a testament to her ability to form meaningful relationships with teachers and staff, her knowledge in implementing change, providing structure, support, and high expectations for teachers and students. We are fortunate to have her at Reynolds Middle School.” Ms. Rice will serve as North Carolina’s representative for the NAESP Assistant Principal of the Year program, which recognizes outstanding elementary and middle school assistant principals who have demonstrated success in leadership, curriculum, and personalization. Ms. Rice will travel to Seattle, Washington this summer to represent North Carolina at the NAESP national conference. "Ms. Rice makes us all proud to be ROCKETS!” shared ACRMS Assistant Principal Ms. Chandler, “Ms. Rice is an outstanding educator with a true commitment to excellence. She works hard each day to do what is best for students and staff while also making decisions to move ACRMS forward. I know that she will continue to do great things for this community! BCS families and teammates, thank you for all of your efforts at home and in the community to recover from the devastation of the hurricane. Our hearts continue to be with you. We want to let you know Buncombe County Schools will remain closed until it is safe to open. That will require power and water restored to our buildings. We are grateful to the repair crews who are working hard to make that happen. However, there is substantial work to be done. To help families plan, we will give you adequate notice when we know a date when it is safe for Buncombe County Schools to reopen. Please continue to take care of yourself and your family. Our theme for this year is “Together We Rise” - and recovering for this storm will demonstrate that. Thank you so much!
