Crews have started work on Rocket Drive to improve access to A.C. Reynolds High School and A.C. Reynolds Middle School.
The work has required the temporary closure of Rocket Drive from Charlotte Highway (U.S. 74-A) to Reynolds School Road for through traffic. Drivers can still reach Reynolds High School and its surrounding neighborhoods from Charlotte Highway by taking Rose Hill Road to Reynolds School Road. Reynolds Middle School is accessible by using Charles Lytle Lane off of Charlotte Highway.

The project will include a new sidewalk on Rocket Drive, which will extend from the schools to the pedestrian crossing at Charlotte Highway.
Rocket Drive is expected to reopen by mid-August.
